GEO - Tagging

Do you know the latitude and longitude of your business’ physical location? Geo location gives your information a physicality that can be used when uploading photos or videos to Google’s hosted services.

Geo-tagging assists search engines, like Google, to know “where on earth” you are located. This information can also be placed on every webpage so viewers and search engines alike can find you in the real world. For fun think: “Where’s Waldo?” “Where is Carmen San Diego?” or “Where in the world is Matt Lauer?”

Remember, the Internet has become a collection of resources meant to appeal to a large audience. Offering the ability for Internet users to access information based on geographic location can decrease search times and increase visibility.
